Police Chief's Corner
Chief Brian Valenzuela is a Hondo native. Chief Valenzuela began with the Hondo Police Department as a Reserve Officer back in January 2001 before joining the ranks shortly after as a full-time paid Patrol Officer. Chief Valenzuela has since held several positions within the department such as the Traffic Enforcement Officer, Special Operations Units, Patrol Sergeant, Lieutenant, and is currently the Chief of Police. Chief Valenzuela is dedicated to the Hondo Police Department and has vested interest with the City of Hondo. Chief Valenzuela encourages citizens to voice their concerns with him and his command staff so that we can focus on the community's biggest concerns. Chief Valenzuela has an open door policy and hopes to lead the Hondo Police Department to a bright future.
