Early Literacy- Tiny Tot Tales and StoryTime!
Come join us for an hour full of fun! Sing-a-longs, simple crafts, and fun stories. Geared for pre-school children ages 2-4, the program is held on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. throughout the school year.
Numerous studies have shown the importance of the development of reading and literacy skills at an early age. Our programs, Tiny Tot Tales and StoryTime!, help children begin developing these skills and help their parents and grandparents learn ways to further develop those skills at home.
Second, the availability of books in the home and reading are major indicators of future success in school, and in life. The library allows families to freely borrow books they might have spent money purchasing them.
Third, learning does not start when we begin school nor end when we complete school. The library provides many avenues to continue to learn no matter one’s age – from the manipulatives, toys, and games for our youngest patrons to materials, computers, and programs for almost everyone else.
