Garbage & Brush Services

Overview

• The City of Hondo contracts with STRD to provide garbage and brush services for our residents.
  Brush Pick-Up: Residential customers can schedule brush pick-up up to two times per month through STRD. To schedule, call 830-426-4261. Pick-up is typically completed within 48–72 hours of your request.
  Bulk Pick-Up: STRD and the City of Hondo also provide bulk pick-up twice a year — in the fall and spring. Notifications will be included with your utility bill and shared through the newspaper, our website, and the City’s Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CityOfHondo). Since dates vary each year, please keep an eye out for these announcements.
  Collection Station: If you can’t wait for bulk pick-up, STRD also operates a collection station for large items.
  • Hours: Saturdays only, from 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
